Teaching Objectives: To Train students possessing the rigorous scientific attitude and good style of study, seeking truth from facts and be creative spirit of science, master preventive medicine basic theory and expertise, and to acquire the necessary basic medicine and preventive medicine experimental skills. To culture the high-level expertise with the ability to analyze and deal with public health emergencies that are suitable for the scientific research or specialized technical work independently, to meet the needs of the development of public health and preventive medicine in China.
Int’l MPH Program
Master of Public Health (MPH) Program intends to cultivate professionals for the practice of global health. This program emphasizes the acquisition of analytical and methodological skills to effectively formulate and critically evaluate health policies; to prevent and control infectious diseases such as SARS, Ebola, HIV, tuberculosis, and influenza; to improve conditions of the patients with chronic diseases through health education and health intervention; to improve air and water quality and eventually promote global health. This is a two year full-time program in which students should finish all the courses and academic research works required. Qualified students will obtain the MPH degree of Nanjing Medical University.
