Introduction
Dr Charles Agbeko isa general practitioner at the Margaret Marquat Catholic Hospital(Kpando, Volta Region). He is also a public health advocate andfounder of healthcom, an NGO specialized in health education whosemain aim is to bridge the gap in raising awareness in the ruralpopulation in the areas of infectious diseases, non-communicablediseases and reproductive health.
He completed KpandoSecondary School in 2009. He holds a bachelor of medicine andbachelor of surgery (MBBS) and a master of public health (MPH) fromNanjing Medical University (China) in 2016 and 2019 respectively.
In academia, he isthe author of “MENTAL HEALTH STATUS IN TB TREATMENT AND ITSOUTCOMES, A SCOPING LITERATURE REVIEW” in the frontiers of publichealth journal. He also co-authored a paper “UPREGULATED CIRRNA_0000337 PROMOTES CELLPROLIFERATION,MIGRATION AND INVASION OF ESOPHAGEAL SQUAMOUS CELLCARCINOMA” in cancer management and research journal. Hiscurrent work under review is titled “PATIENT PERCEPTION OF HOW TBSHAPES THEIR LIVES AFTER DIAGNOSIS AND DURING THE COURSE OF TREATMENTA QUALITATIVE STUDY”.
Dr Agbeko worked atthe Bono Regional Hospital, Sunyani for a year. His main goal in lifeis to reach rural settlers and equip them with the knowledge toprevent diseases.
