About School of Public Health, Nanjing Medical School
The NMU School of Public Health (SPH) traces its root to the Department of Public Health in 1934 at Jiangsu Provincial Institute of MedicalAffairs, one of the institutions initially providing professionaltraining programs in public health and preventive medicine in China.The Teaching and Research Office of Public Health was established in1940 and enrolled undergraduates in the Public Health program in1953. It was renamed the School of Public Health in 1995.The SPH has been authorized to offer doctoral Degrees of PublicHealth and Preventive Medicine, the professional master’s degreesfor Public Health (MPH) and postdoctoral research stations.The SPH has funded several Key disciplines, including the NationalKey Discipline of Occupational Medicine and Environmental Health,Jiangsu Outstanding Disciplines of Public Health and PreventiveMedicine, and Jiangsu Key Disciplines with respect to Toxicology andEpidemiology & Health Statistics. Further, the School has fundedmultiple high-level innovative research labs across a variety offields, including the State Key Laboratory of Reproductive Medicine,the China International Cooperation Center for Environment and HumanHealth, the MOE (Ministry of Education) Key Laboratory of ModernToxicology, the Jiangsu Collaborative Innovation Center forPersonalized Cancer Medicine, and the Jiangsu Key Laboratory ofCancer Biomarkers. The discipline of Public Health and PreventiveMedicine was graded A+ in the Fourth-round National First-levelDiscipline Comprehensive Assessment by MOE.
The school has 12 departments, including the Department of Epidemiology,Department of Biostatistics, Department of Occupational Medicine andEnvironmental Health, Department of Nutrition and Food Hygiene,Department of Maternal Child and Adolescent Health, Department ofToxicology, Department of Hygienic Analysis and Detection, Departmentof Social Medicine and Health Education, Department of HealthInformation, Department of Health Management, Department ofMicrobiology and Infection, and Department of Mental Health; 7research centers, including the Experimental Teaching Center ofPreventive Medicine, the Public Health Teaching Research Center,China National Birth Cohort Research Center, China InternationalCooperation Center for Environment and Human Health, Center forGlobal Health, the Hygienic Analysis and Detection Center, and thePublic Health Emergency Consultation & Research Center; 1Research Core Facility, and Institute of Occupational Diseases andPoisoning.
The school has 45 professors and 33 associate professors. In thishigh-quality and energetic team, there are 38 doctoral supervisorsand 40 master supervisors. Aboutthe Center for Global Health (CGH) of Nanjing Medical University
The Center for Global Health (CGH) of Nanjing Medical University wasfounded in 2018. Based on School of Public Health of Nanjing MedicalUniversity with “A+”-ranking discipline in preventive medicine,the CGH is an international collaborative innovation centerintegrating education, scientific research and translationalmedicine.
Toaddress the challenges of global health, CGH leverages the uniquestrength to bring together faculties from different areas and fieldsand collaborates with agencies locally and globally. Now it has fivebranch centers for research: Environmental Health, Health System andPolicy, Infectious Diseases, Individualized Medicine for Tumor,Reproductive Health.
CGHFocuses on major issues in the field of global health; Activelyparticipates in global health governance; Contributes to build“Healthy Jiangsu” and “Healthy China”; Effectively promoteshuman health and well-being.
Qualifications
Applicantsshould be under the age of 35, have obtained a doctoral degree lessthan 3 years, and apply for a first-level discipline different fromhis/her doctoral discipline.
Candidatesshould meet one of the following requirements in the past threeyears:
Publishone scientific research paper with IF≥3.0 as the first orcorresponding author;
Presideprovincial/ministerial level scientific research projects or above;
AwardNational Scientific Research Achievement Awards (within #5) orprovincial/ministerial scientific research achievement awards (within#3)
Description
Full-timepostdoctoral research in CGH NMU (including foreign personnel).
Stationduration: generally 2 years. The station duration can be flexiblydetermined within 2-4 years, and the maximum is no more than 6 years.

Salariesand Benefits
Salary:pre-tax 300,000-340,000RMB per year (available for 2-6 years in the station).
Benefits:available to free medical care, various social insurance, housingfund, postdoctoral fellowship allowance, rental subsidy, etc.
Scientific Researchperformance allowance: obtain performance allowance according to the'Nanjing Medical University Scientific Research AllowancePayment Method'.
Specialscientific research funds: 100,000 RMB/year of special research funds will be given to their co-tutors tosupport the development of relevant research for the postdoctoralfellows who have been approved to extend in-station time for morethan one year. The maximum amount of special research funds is200,000 RMB.
Preferentialpolicy for professional title evaluation: during the period ofunified recruitment of postdoctoral students, they can participatein the review of corresponding professional and technical postsaccording to the relevant regulations of the University; anyone whomeets the following basic requirements of associate professor orassociate researcher of our university will be appointed: presidesover one national scientific research project during his stay in thestation, publishes one research paper as the first author (rankedfirst) or corresponding author in thethird levelor more high-level categories of the High-level Journal List(natural science category) of Nanjing Medical University, and thefirst signatory unit is Nanjing Medical University or affiliatedhospitals of Nanjing Medical University; after being employed,he/she will enjoy the salary of an associate professor or associateresearcher (still enjoy other postdoctoral benefits)
